Fiji Pearls Unveil Exciting Squad for Upcoming Netball Series

Interim head coach Jioweli Vakamoce has announced the extended squad for the Fiji Pearls, set to compete in the PacificAus Sports Netball Series taking place from February 17 to 22 at the Nissan Arena in Brisbane, Australia.

The selection includes a mix of overseas-based and local talent. Notable overseas players include seasoned defender Adi Vakaoca Bolakoro, along with Kelera Nawai-Caucau and Solei Toganivalu. The squad also features promising local athletes, such as 18-year-old Alisi Neisulu, a former student of Adi Cakobau School, as well as top shooters Unaisi Rauluni and Maliana Rusivakula.

The full squad is composed as follows:

Shooters: Nina Nakula, Jimaima Kete, Cilia Lewatu, Maliana Rusivakula, Unaisi Rauluni, and Solei Toganivalu.

Mid-court: Anaseini Nauqe, Susana Rasaubale, Joanne Vulaca, Yvonne Nalewabau, Ana Moi, Nicole Kamotu, and Alisi Neisulu.

Defenders: Elenoa Gukirewa, Kalesi Tawake, Lowata Natoga, Alisi Naqiri, Shaid Sasalu, Adi Vakaoca Bolakoro, and Kelera Nawai-Caucau.

This selection promises to bring a good mix of experience and youthful energy to the competition, with hopes that it will foster further development in Fiji’s netball scene. As the team prepares for this significant event, fans can look forward to an exciting showcase of talent and teamwork.
