The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) has completed its review of the case concerning the suspended Director of Immigration, Amelia Komaisavai. Ms. Komaisavai is currently on leave while investigations are ongoing regarding the unauthorized issuance of Fijian passports to the children of two members of the Grace Road Church.
The ODPP confirmed that it has received the file related to Ms. Komaisavai, who is reportedly involved along with “a few others” in the matter. Following a thorough examination of the evidence, the ODPP stated that its analysis has reached a conclusion.
The file will be forwarded back to the police in due course, accompanied by a summary of the recommendations derived from the analysis. This development marks a significant step in the investigation, as authorities work to ensure accountability and uphold the integrity of the immigration system in Fiji.
