Applications for the 2025 Prime Minister’s International Business Awards (PMIBA) are now open, recognizing exceptional achievements in 14 categories. The theme for this year, “Navigating Global Winds – Resilience, Innovation, and Sustainable Growth,” underlines the importance of innovation, resilience, and competitiveness among businesses across all sectors.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade, Manoa Kamikamica, emphasized that these awards are the highest honor for business excellence in Fiji. He noted that acknowledging businesses not just for commercial success but also for their resilience, sustainability, and positive impact on the community is crucial. Kamikamica stated that this theme reflects the capability of businesses to turn challenges into opportunities, highlighting the awards’ purpose as a platform to celebrate these transformative successes and encourage future leaders.
The 2025 PMIBA continues to maintain the 14 award categories from the previous year, which encompass various industries. These include the Supreme Award, as well as awards for small, medium, and large businesses operating internationally, and recognitions for excellence in innovation, e-commerce transformation, sustainability initiatives, and employer of the year, among others.
Additionally, special Recognition Awards will honor business leaders in the diaspora who have significantly contributed to Fiji’s international economic development. Businesses of all sizes and sectors are encouraged to apply by the deadline of July 25, 2025, with the awards set to recognize achievements in export growth, innovation, sustainable practices, and leadership.
The PMIBA serves not only to honor current excellence but also to inspire future entrepreneurs and leaders in the Fijian business community. The call to action is clear—businesses are encouraged to submit their applications and share their success stories that embody resilience and innovation in today’s dynamic market.
