The Fiji Commerce and Competition Commission has initiated a 21-day public consultation regarding electricity tariffs, underscoring the importance of public engagement in decision-making processes. Minister for Commerce and Business Development, Esrom Immanuel, has expressed his support for this initiative, stressing the necessity for participation from the public, businesses, and micro, small, and medium enterprises.

Immanuel highlighted that electricity costs are a significant concern for many households and business owners, indicating the critical nature of this consultation. The Government remains committed to making electricity both affordable and accessible to all citizens while also promoting sustainable energy practices and maintaining economic stability.
