Recently, the university’s outreach team completed an application drive that has garnered appreciation from educators and students alike. Semisi Caucau, a teacher at Koro High School, expressed gratitude for FNU’s commitment to helping students navigate their educational aspirations despite the geographical obstacles they face.

Caucau highlighted the profound impact of FNU’s support on local students, stating that the university’s efforts have opened new doors for them to confidently pursue their goals. The outreach campaign included informative sessions at various schools, such as Vunisea Secondary School, Richmond High School, and Levuka Public School. FNU representatives interacted with Year 12 and Year 13 students, providing crucial information about academic programs and assisting them with the application process.

Vijayta Sharma, the acting manager of outreach at FNU, noted the enthusiasm exhibited by students, particularly at Vunisea, where there was a lively engagement concerning how the university’s programs align with their career paths. The excitement among Year 13 students highlighted their eagerness to explore educational opportunities for the upcoming academic year in Semester 1 of 2025.

Ms. Sharma also praised the dedication of the Year 13 students at Gau Secondary School, many of whom utilized their Saturday to complete application forms with FNU staff, demonstrating their commitment to planning their futures responsibly. The final stop at Levuka Public School rounded off the outreach initiative, where FNU representatives connected with students, answered their queries, and guided them through the next steps in their academic journey.
