Labasa’s forward Rusiate Doidoi has been selected to bolster the Fiji National Football Team’s lineup ahead of their participation in the MSG Prime Minister’s Cup in the Solomon Islands. Doidoi steps in for Mosese Nabose from Tailevu Naitasiri, who has had to withdraw due to work obligations.
Head Coach Marika Rodu expressed optimism about the team’s prospects, noting that Doidoi’s presence enhances the team’s attacking capabilities. “Rusiate’s addition gives us an edge in attack, and I’m confident the team will perform well in the tournament,” said Rodu.
The Bula Boys are set to depart today, with their first match against Vanuatu scheduled for tomorrow at 2 PM.
This addition to the squad not only highlights the flexibility and depth of the team but also showcases the importance of embracing new talent as they head into international competition. The team’s determination and unity may lead to a strong performance in the tournament, setting a hopeful tone for their campaign.
