Fiji Mourns the Loss of a Visionary Leader

Tevita Kuruvakadua, the former Chief Executive of the Fiji Public Trustee Corporation, has died following a brief illness. He was 51 years old at the time of his passing on August 13.

Kuruvakadua was appointed to his position in April 2024 and led the Corporation until his early retirement last month. The Fiji Public Trustee Corporation released a statement highlighting that, despite his short tenure, Kuruvakadua provided extensive knowledge, enthusiasm, and a new perspective that resonated with staff members.

The organization conveyed that his contributions have made a lasting impression, and his leadership will be fondly remembered. Kuruvakadua had a background in accounting and financial management. Funeral arrangements are expected to be announced soon.
