Filimone Kau, a respected former diplomat and civil servant in Fiji, has passed away, as announced by his family. Mr. Kau, who served as Fiji’s Ambassador to South Korea, also held significant roles in the public sector, including Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Lands & Mineral Resources, head of the public relations and media team for the National Council for Building a Better Fiji, and Director of Information at the Ministry of Information.
His contributions to Fiji extend beyond diplomacy; he was deeply involved in developing the nation and fostering community relations. The family expressed gratitude for the support they have received during this sad time, emphasizing Mr. Kau’s character as a beloved father, husband, uncle, and brother.
His funeral is scheduled for Friday at 10 a.m. at Logani Bethel AOG in Tailevu.
