Fiji Military Forces Launch $50M Joint Logistics Command Project

The Republic of the Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) has announced the availability of tender documents for the establishment of a new Joint Logistics Command Precinct, set to be built on Bayview Road in Nabua.

According to the tender documents, the objective of the new facility is to enhance and fortify security measures. The project aims to provide the Joint Logistics Command with essential infrastructure for implementing the Automated Logistics Management System (ALMS) and facilitating various operations to support land and naval forces.

The tender outlines the requirements for project management, design services, and associated costs, estimating the total construction budget to be approximately $50 million, with a 10 percent margin, exclusive of VAT.

The planned double-storey building will include office spaces, a warehouse, a maintenance shed, a gym, a canteen, a lecture room, a catering school, and a hard court. The facility is designed to accommodate 70 personnel, with future projections indicating a capacity of over 100 personnel, allowing for adjustments in the design based on anticipated needs.

In the 2024-2025 budget, the RFMF received an allocation of $169.6 million.
