The session included discussions on the importance of improving procurement planning for better governance and efficiency, the application of ethical procurement principles focusing on sustainability and accountability, and the introduction of new procurement methods that streamline supplier engagement.
This workshop is part of the RFMF’s broader commitment to best practices in procurement, emphasizing transparency and integrity in its processes. Following positive feedback, plans are already in motion for additional sessions to cater to those who were unable to attend.
The RFMF expressed gratitude to the Fiji Procurement Office for delivering comprehensive training that not only aligns with national standards but also enhances accountability within military operations. Moreover, past updates highlighted the introduction of new procurement regulations designed to enhance competition and support local businesses, marking a significant shift towards ethical practices in procurement across various sectors. These developments not only benefit the RFMF but also strengthen the overall procurement landscape in Fiji, promoting fairness and inclusivity for local suppliers.
