The Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) held a graduation ceremony on November 19, 2024, to celebrate the accomplishments of the 1/23 Officer Cadet Course and the 1/24 Territorial Officers Bridging Course. The event took place at the Force Training Group Drill Square in Nasinu and was presided over by Minister for Home Affairs and Immigration, Pio Tikoduadua.
In his speech, Tikoduadua congratulated the graduates for achieving a significant milestone in their military careers. He characterized this moment as the beginning of an important journey, stating, “You stand on the threshold of a path that few have the honor to tread—a path defined by responsibility and purpose.” He underscored the importance of their roles as commanders and leaders, urging them to inspire others with courage and conviction.
The Minister further stressed the vital responsibilities that lie ahead for the graduates in shaping the future of the RFMF and serving the country. He stated, “You will uphold the traditions of the RFMF while guiding its evolution to reflect the values of our nation. Your development as an officer is now your responsibility.”
Concluding his address, Tikoduadua encouraged the new officers to lead with integrity, honor, and a strong commitment to Fiji’s democratic ideals. He emphasized the importance of serving their soldiers and the nation with excellence, reflecting their pride and duty.
