The Team Fiji men’s rugby sevens team received a warm welcome at their training base in Libourne, France, earlier this week.
Libourne’s Mayor Philippe Buisson expressed his pride and honor in hosting the defending Olympic Games gold medal champions in sevens rugby.
“I thank the Fiji team for promoting the values of this sport to our young people,” Buisson remarked.
The team, coached by Osea Kolinisau, will prepare in Libourne before heading to the Games Village. The men’s sevens competition for the Paris Olympic Games kicks off on July 24.
The tournament will pause on July 26 for the Olympic Games official opening ceremony, with finals occurring on July 27.
Today, the Fiji men’s rugby sevens team will spend an hour with the public at Moueix Stadium.
