The Team Fiji men’s rugby sevens team received a warm welcome at their training base in Libourne, France, earlier this week.
Libourne Mayor Philippe Buisson expressed pride and great honor in hosting the defending Olympic Games gold medal champions in sevens rugby.
“I thank the Fiji team for promoting the values of this sport to our young people,” Buisson said.
The team, coached by Osea Kolinisau, will train in Libourne before moving to the Games Village. The men’s sevens competition at the Paris Olympic Games begins on July 24.
After a break on July 26 for the Olympic Games official opening, the competition finals will take place on July 27.
Today, the Fiji men’s rugby sevens team will spend an hour with the public at the Moueix Stadium.
