Fiji Men’s Rugby Sevens Team Gears Up in France

The Team Fiji men’s rugby sevens team received a warm welcome at their training base in Libourne, France, earlier this week.

Libourne Mayor Philippe Buisson expressed the city’s pride and great honor in welcoming the defending Olympic Games gold medal champions in sevens rugby.

“I thank the Fiji team for promoting the values of this sport to our young people,” Buisson stated.

The team, coached by Osea Kolinisau, will stay in Libourne before heading to the Games Village as the men’s sevens competition of the Paris Olympic Games begins on July 24.

The competition will pause on July 26 for the Olympic Games official opening before the finals commence on July 27.

Today, the Fiji men’s rugby sevens team will spend an hour with the public at the Moueix Stadium.
