The Team Fiji men’s rugby sevens team received a warm welcome at their training base in Libourne, France, earlier this week.
Libourne Mayor Philippe Buisson expressed pride and honor in hosting the defending Olympic Games gold medal champions in sevens rugby.
“I thank the Fiji team for promoting the values of this sport to our young people,” said Buisson.
Coached by Osea Kolinisau, the team will stay in Libourne before moving to the Games Village as the men’s sevens competition at the Paris Olympic Games begins on July 24.
The competition will pause on July 26 for the Olympic Games official opening ceremony, with the finals slated to take place on July 27.
Today, the Fiji men’s rugby sevens team will spend an hour with the public at the Moueix Stadium.
