Fiji Men’s Rugby Sevens Players Make Big Moves in French Rugby

Team Fiji men’s rugby sevens player Kaminieli Rasaku will be joining a French ProD2 club after the Paris Olympic Games. The Grenoble club has announced Rasaku as one of their new recruits for the upcoming season.

In other player movements, veteran Flying Fijian duo Jale Vatubua and Aminiasi Tuimaba are leaving French Top 14 club Pau. Vatubua has signed with ProD2 club Dax, while Tuimaba is heading to Beziers.

French Top 14 club Oyonnax has bolstered its squad by recruiting Peniame Narisia from Racing 92, Veresa Ramototabua from Mont-de-Marsan, and Eddie Sawailau from Perpignan.

Former Fiji-born New Zealand sevens rugby winger Joe Ravouvou has departed Oyonnax to join ProD2 club Bourgoin.

Montpellier has released utility player Masivesi Dakuwaqa, who has joined ProD2 club Biarritz, while centre Christa Powell, formerly of Aurillac, has also joined the club.

Powerful Castres winger Filipo Nakosi has signed with ProD2 club Vannes.
