Fiji Leads the Way in Climate Action: A Call for Regional Collaboration

Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister, Professor Biman Prasad, highlighted Fiji’s progress in climate action during his address at the Small States Forum. He emphasized the necessity of adaptation financing, particularly through the 21st replenishment of the International Development Association (IDA). Professor Prasad also called for regional cooperation, citing the regional correspondent banking arrangement as an effective model for enhancing stability and growth. He stressed the need to consolidate resources and expertise within the region to promote sustainable development and bolster climate resilience.
