Fiji Leads the Charge in Climate Resilience and Collaboration

Fiji’s Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister, Professor Biman Prasad, highlighted the country’s progress in climate action during the Small States Forum. He emphasized the necessity of adaptation financing, particularly through the International Development Association’s 21st replenishment. Professor Prasad also called for enhanced regional collaboration, citing the regional correspondent banking arrangement as a model that promotes stability and growth. He stressed the need for pooling resources and knowledge within the region to boost sustainable development and enhance climate resilience.
