During a recent event at the Holiday Inn, Fiji’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade, Co-Operatives and Small and Medium Enterprises, and Communications, Manoa Kamikamica, launched the Early Childhood Development (ECD) Policy. This initiative is designed to build a strong economic foundation and create a promising future for all Fijians.

The ECD Policy’s primary goal is to ensure that every child in Fiji receives adequate care, nutrition, and early learning opportunities. In addition, it focuses on safeguarding children from abuse, neglect, violence, and conflict.

This policy represents a significant step forward in prioritizing the wellbeing of Fiji’s youngest citizens. It highlights the government’s commitment to fostering a nurturing environment that promotes healthy development and learning for children, which ultimately contributes to the nation’s growth.

In summary, Fiji’s ECD Policy not only aims to equip children with the tools they need for success but also reinforces the idea that investing in early childhood is crucial for building a prosperous future for the entire country. The positive implications of this policy could lead to a more resilient, educated, and caring society.
