President Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu has arrived in India to participate in the Sathya Sai Grama for the One World One Family – World Cultural Festival 2025. His visit is a testament to the enduring friendship and unity between Fiji and India, embodied in the spirit of “One World, One Family,” which emphasizes global collaboration and understanding.
The President was warmly welcomed by Sumeet Tappoo and other attendees upon his arrival. This visit comes on the heels of his recognition of Sri Madhusudan Sai, the spiritual leader of the One World One Family Mission, who was awarded Fiji’s highest civilian honor, the Honorary Companion of the Order of Fiji, earlier this year. This accolade was conferred during a ceremony in Suva, highlighting Sri Madhusudan Sai’s transformative humanitarian contributions across the Pacific and beyond.
In his current international tour, President Lalabalavu has also visited England, Ireland, Italy, and Abu Dhabi. This ongoing engagement reflects his commitment to strengthening Fiji’s diplomatic relationships worldwide.
The supportive ties between Fiji and India were further highlighted in previous meetings, including a farewell gathering for Shri P.S. Karthigeyan, the outgoing High Commissioner of India to Fiji. President Lalabalavu articulated his gratitude for India’s substantial role in Fiji’s development, emphasizing shared goals in sectors including renewable energy and healthcare. Notably, projects like the solarization of the State House and the establishment of a Super Specialty Cardiology Hospital illustrate the impactful collaboration between both nations.
Sri Madhusudan Sai’s dedication and the recognition he received signal a positive future for community engagement and humanitarian efforts. As President Lalabalavu continues to foster partnerships that aim at sustainability and cultural exchange, the dialogue between Fiji and India remains hopeful, emphasizing cooperation and shared aspirations for global welfare.
