Set to take place in Room 019 – 104A & B, the event will run from 8:00 a.m. to approximately 5:30 p.m., featuring a seven-round rapid chess format with a time control of 15 minutes plus a 5-second increment. This format promises fast-paced and thrilling matches throughout the day.

Registration is scheduled for the morning of the event, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., indicating a day dedicated to celebrating chess within the region.
President of the Fiji Chess Federation, Hilda Kunau, expressed enthusiasm and highlighted the significance of the September Rapid Tournament on the Federation’s calendar. She noted, “We are excited to welcome players of all levels to this weekend’s Rapid Tournament. Rapid chess is dynamic and highly competitive, and we expect to see both rising talents and experienced players showcase their skills.”
