The Fiji Chinese Trade Show commenced this morning at the Vodafone Arena, featuring the latest advancements in technology and innovation from 30 prominent Chinese tech companies. This four-day event is designed to strengthen trade relations between Fiji and China.

His Excellency Zhou Jian, the Chinese Ambassador to Fiji, noted that the exhibition offers a valuable opportunity for Chinese firms to engage with the Fijian market and uncover collaborative possibilities. He emphasized that the showcased companies represent leading brands across various sectors and serve as a reflection of China’s progress in technological advancements and industrial evolution.

Zhou highlighted the exhibition as a “bridge of trade,” “bridge of cooperation,” and “bridge of friendship,” aiming to foster connections between Chinese and Fijian businesses while enhancing economic cooperation and technological exchanges.

Moreover, he expressed a hopeful vision that exhibitors would not only explore trading opportunities but also invest in Fiji, helping transform the nation into a manufacturing hub within the South Pacific.

Yan Chenhui, Deputy Director General of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, echoed this sentiment by bringing together numerous esteemed Chinese enterprises and high-quality products from diverse sectors such as agriculture, manufacturing, and services. Notable participants include industry giants like China Mobile, Huawei, and China Railway Group.
