Weather Update

Hold onto your umbrellas because the weather in Fiji is about to get an upgrade! As of 3:30 PM on this fine November 3rd, 2025, we have an official Heavy Rain Alert for the eastern half of Viti Levu. You know the drill: Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu-Naitasiri-Ra, the Yasawa Group, the Northern Division, Lau and Lomaiviti groups, Kadavu, and their smaller island buddies are about to be drenched. For all the nitty-gritty details, hop on over to the Special Weather Bulletin provided by the NWFC.

What’s cooking in the atmosphere? A slightly mischievous trough of low pressure is hovering over our eastern shores, prepping to knock on our doors with showers and the occasional vigorous thunderous knock. So expect rain to come knocking for the next few days, with some enthusiastic clouds taking center stage.

Here’s the weather forecast to keep you entertained while you plan your wet adventures:

From now until the clock strikes midnight, look forward to intermittent rain, possibly heavy enough to justify building an ark! You might even hear some dramatic thunderstorms banging on the roof. Cloudy spells mixed with rain will keep things interesting, especially in the afternoons and evenings – it’s like the weather is trying to throw a wet party. Just watch out for those localized heavy downpours; they might just start a flash flood dance off!

The winds will be moderate to fresh, ensuring that your hair won’t just stay in place, and the seas will be moderately rough, ideal conditions for a few adventurous waves… just not for sailing!

Looking ahead to Wednesday: The rain will still be on the guest list but may start to ease a bit, tilting more toward your mellow showers. Just remember, isolated thunderstorms might still crash the party, so don’t let your guard down!

Now, let’s check out the specifics for various locales:

In Navua / Suva / Nausori: Grab your raincoat! Expect hefty bouts of rain with a dramatic thunderstorm or two. Tomorrow should see a minimum of 22 and a maximum of 29 – basically room temperature!

For those enjoying the Coral Coast: Keep your water shoes at the ready because cloudy periods and hefty afternoon showers will be the trend. Tomorrow’s temp will be a cozy 22 at night, warming up to a sultry 30 by day.

Savusavu will also experience the wet phenomenon with rain and thunderstorms, where it’ll stay pretty humid at 23 overnight and peaking at 29 during the day.

Lastly, in picturesque Rotuma: A weak trough of low pressure is about to sprinkle some fun over you too! Overnight lows of 25 will rise to a maximum of 30 with gentle northern winds perfect for stargazing in between the showers.
