Fiji Gymnasts Shine Bright with Bronze at National Carnival

The Island Acro Fiji Gymnastics Club achieved a remarkable feat on Tuesday by securing bronze medals in both the novice and intermediate categories at the National Clubs Gymnastics Carnival held in Gold Coast, Australia.

The young athletes showcased an impressive performance in team gym events, which featured mini tramp, floor, and tumbling routines. Their dedication and hard work resonated well with the audience, leaving a memorable impact.

A highlight of the event was Year 8 student Hannah Kacy Zatara Vula from FSC Primary School, who expressed immense joy over the team’s success. “I feel happy, thrilled, and excited when doing gymnastics because it is my dream and talent, and I really love gymnastics. My goal and dream is to be a gold medalist Olympian in gymnastics,” Vula stated.

Hailing from Nailaga village in Ba, Vula took a moment to appreciate her teammates and supporters. “I love my teammates, and all our hard work showed on stage. I feel proud and excited,” she noted.

She also expressed gratitude towards her family and her faith, saying, “I want to thank God for making it possible and giving me this talent, my family, and my church family in INC Ba for their prayers.”
