The 2024 Fiji Golf Open Championship is poised to offer a thrilling weekend filled with competitive spirit, substantial prizes, and delicious dining options. Scheduled for October 10-12 at the Fiji Golf Club in Suva, this championship is set to be one of the most rewarding golf events in Fiji for the year.
A total cash prize of $10,000 is available for professional golfers, along with another $10,000 in prizes designated for amateurs, making it a highly appealing tournament. Amitesh Chandra, president of Golf Fiji, mentioned that the prize amounts might even increase, enhancing the stakes for competitors aiming for victory.
Participants will enjoy a light lunch each day, complemented by cocktails at both the opening and closing of the event. Each golfer will be outfitted in polo shirts provided by the tournament and will receive sleeves of golf balls to ensure they are fully prepared for their rounds.
Entry into this 54-hole stroke play event costs $250, and it’s open to both male and female golfers. Additionally, the first ten junior golfers to enter will have their fees waived, encouraging young talent to participate.
With only 120 spots available, the competition is expected to be intense. The Fiji Golf Open Championship, organized by Golf Fiji and sanctioned by the World Amateur Golf Ranking, has caught the interest of players and fans alike.
