Club captain Zavir Khan presented a report detailing significant investments during a recent announcement, which includes extensive renovations to the clubhouse and upgrades to the golf course.

Enhancements to the golf course involve improvements in drainage, turf replacement, and the acquisition of vital equipment, such as a digger, tractor, and new golf carts. Khan expressed optimism about these changes, emphasizing that they will elevate the golf course to international standards.

In alignment with these upgrades, the clubhouse has received important enhancements, including better lighting, improved security features, and a revamped outdoor design that has resulted in increased rental revenue. The club has also benefitted from billboard rentals, generating a consistent income of $3,665 a month, and has successfully reduced its security costs, saving $1,800 monthly.

A continued focus on youth development is evident with the relaunch of the Junior Open tournament, which Khan anticipates will become a staple in Fijian golf. McDonald’s sponsorship of $5,000 plays a crucial role in nurturing young talent, supporting the next generation of golfers in Fiji.

Financially, the club is responsibly managing a $250,000 loan, with positive signs already apparent from new income streams. Members have embraced the introduction of new golf carts, and there are plans to expand the fleet further.
