The Governance Committee of the Fiji Football Association has released the final list of candidates eligible for the 2025 Vice Presidential Elections. Fiji FA CEO Mohammed Yusuf stated that the committee carefully evaluated all nominations that were submitted by the May 22 deadline during meetings held on May 26 and 27.
Rayaz Khan from the Labasa Football Association is set to be elected unopposed as the Vice President for the Northern region, as he was the sole nominee for that position. In contrast, the elections for the other three Vice Presidential roles promise to be competitive, featuring a blend of current officeholders and notable challengers.
The Vice President role for Women has emerged as a contest between the current Vice President, Susan Wise, and Mere Veikata from the Lautoka Football Association. Meanwhile, current Vice President Jitendra Reddy will face competition from Peter Cecil Singh, Vice President of Rewa FA, and former Suva FA President Ritesh Pratap.
The race for the Vice President for the Western Division has attracted significant interest, showcasing four strong candidates. Incumbent Vice President Jitendra Kumar is poised to defend his position against notable figures such as Mohammed Mohin Rafiq, president of Nadi FA, Mun Sami Chetty from Nadroga FA, and Shalendra Prasad, president of Lautoka FA.
These elections will take place during the Fiji FA Congress at their headquarters in Vatuwaqa, with representatives from each affiliated member association participating in the voting process that will shape the future leadership of football in Fiji.
