Fiji Football’s Future Shines: U-19 Talents Join National Squad for Upcoming Friendlies

The Digicel Fiji Men’s National Football Team is currently training for the FIFA International “A” Friendlies Tri-Nations Series 2024 at the Fiji FA Academy in Ba. The squad includes emerging talents such as Fiji U-19 captain Penisoni Tirau and defender Mohammad Aymaan, who impressed at the OFC U-19 Men’s Championships earlier this year.

Team manager Kartik Reddy has confirmed that 24 players are in camp, with two more expected to arrive shortly. Australian-based goalkeeper Jerome Narayan is already present, while New Zealand-based player Samuela Kautoga will join the team on Sunday, followed by team captain Roy Krishna on September 3.

The final 23-member squad will be unveiled on August 30 before the team travels to Suva. Under the guidance of head coach Rob Sherman, Fiji will compete against the Solomon Islands National Team on September 2 at HFC Bank Stadium in Suva and then face the Hong Kong, China National Team on September 8 at Churchill Park in Lautoka.

The current 26-member squad consists of Isikeli Sevanaia, Jerome Narayan, Akuila Mateisuva, Samuela Kautoga, Patrick Joesph, Sterling Vasconcellos, Atonio Tuivuna, Mosese Nabose, Filipe Baravilala, Ivan Kumar, Muni Shivam Naidu, Sitiveni Cavuilagi, Thomas Dunn, Mohammed Raheem, Setareki Hughes, Aporosa Yasa, Nabil Begg, James Hoyt, Tevita Waranaivalu, Dave Radrigai, Sairusi Nalaubu, Etonia Dogalau, Roy Krishna, Mohammed Aymaan, Rahul Krishna, and Melvin Mani.
