The Fiji Football Association has launched an innovative initiative by partnering with International Football Consultancy, led by Ali McLae and Russ Gurr. This collaboration aims to enhance the national team’s chances in future FIFA World Cup tournaments by scouting and recruiting players of Fijian descent from around the globe.
Fiji FA Chief Executive Mohammed Yusuf expressed confidence in the initiative, stating that it, together with the existing FFA national academies, will expedite the development of local talent while integrating international players into the team’s roster.
McLae and Gurr, both experienced professionals with extensive international connections, will be instrumental in the identification and recruitment process of these players. Yusuf highlighted that the synergy of local and international talent will foster a more competitive and vibrant environment for Fijian football.
