The Fiji Football Association has launched a significant initiative by partnering with the International Football Consultancy, led by Ali McLae and Russ Gurr. This collaboration aims to enhance the national team’s potential in upcoming FIFA World Cup tournaments by scouting and recruiting players of Fijian descent from around the globe.

Fiji FA Chief Executive Mohammed Yusuf stated, “We believe this initiative, along with our established FFA national academies, will speed up the development of top local talent while incorporating new overseas players into our teams.”

McLae and Gurr, both seasoned professionals with a wide-ranging international network, will be instrumental in the process of identifying and recruiting these players. Yusuf added, “The combined efforts of local and international talent will create a more competitive and dynamic environment for Fijian football.”
