The preseason transfer window for the Fiji Football Association is now officially open, allowing districts until January 31 to enhance their teams with new players ahead of the upcoming season. Rohitesh Narayan, the Player Transfer Registration Manager, clarified that any player transferring to a different district must commit to their new team for a minimum of one year. He also pointed out that players who changed teams during last season’s mid-season transfer window are not eligible for transfers this time around.
Narayan emphasized the importance of players adhering to their contractual obligations. In terms of team dynamics, Tailevu Naitasiri is facing the challenge of losing many of its players following relegation in the last season. On the other hand, newcomer Tavua is anticipated to strengthen their squad, bringing in fresh talent and experience.
This transfer window presents a significant opportunity for teams to reshape and improve their roster, which could lead to a more competitive and exciting season ahead. As teams gear up for the challenges of the new season, fans can look forward to witnessing the strategic moves that could alter the landscape of Fijian football.
