The Digicel Fiji National Football Team has climbed three positions to rank 150th in the latest FIFA World Rankings. This improvement follows their strong performances in the Tri-Nations series, where Fiji achieved a victory over the Solomon Islands and secured a draw with Hong Kong.
Under the guidance of Coach Rob Sherman, the team’s advancements are clear, positioning them as the third highest team in Oceania, trailing New Zealand at 95th place and the Solomon Islands at 144th.
In the region, Samoa has also made notable gains, rising seven spots to 185th after winning matches against Tonga and American Samoa in FIFA World Cup qualifying rounds.
On the international front, Argentina remains at the top of the global rankings, holding onto its title as the reigning world champions.
