The Digicel Fiji National Football Team has improved its position by three spots, now ranked 150th in the latest FIFA World Rankings. This rise follows strong performances in the Tri-Nations series, where Fiji achieved a victory over the Solomon Islands and managed a draw with Hong Kong.
Under Coach Rob Sherman’s guidance, the team’s advancement is clear, as they are now the third highest-ranked team in Oceania, trailing only New Zealand at 95th and the Solomon Islands at 144th.
In the region, Samoa has also made notable gains, climbing seven places to 185th after their wins against Tonga and American Samoa in the FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
On the global front, Argentina remains the top-ranked team, holding onto its title as the reigning world champions.
