Under Coach Rob Sherman, the team’s development is clear, as they now stand as the third highest-ranked team in Oceania, trailing only New Zealand at 95th and the Solomon Islands at 144th. In the regional landscape, Samoa has also made notable gains, ascending seven spots to 185th after winning matches against Tonga and American Samoa in FIFA World Cup qualifiers. On the international front, Argentina remains the top-ranked team, holding firm as the current world champions.
