The Digicel Fiji National Football Team has moved up three places to rank 150th in the most recent FIFA World Rankings. This improvement follows strong performances in the Tri-Nations series, where Fiji achieved a victory over the Solomon Islands and a draw against Hong Kong.
Guided by Coach Rob Sherman, the team’s advancement is clear as they now hold the position of the third highest-ranked team in Oceania, trailing only New Zealand at 95th and the Solomon Islands at 144th.
Additionally, Samoa has demonstrated noteworthy advancement, rising seven spots to 185th after successful outcomes against Tonga and American Samoa in FIFA World Cup qualifying matches.
On the international front, Argentina remains at the top of the rankings, retaining its title as the reigning world champions.
