Fiji Football Team Climbs in FIFA Rankings: What’s Next?

The Digicel Fiji National Football Team has improved its ranking by three positions, now sitting at 150th in the recent FIFA World Rankings. This advancement follows strong performances in the Tri-Nations series, where Fiji won against the Solomon Islands and drew with Hong Kong. Under Coach Rob Sherman’s guidance, the team has shown significant progress and is now third in Oceania, trailing New Zealand at 95th and the Solomon Islands at 144th. Regionally, Samoa has also made notable gains, moving up seven spots to 185th after winning against Tonga and American Samoa in FIFA World Cup qualifiers. On the global front, Argentina remains at the top as the highest-ranked team, upholding its title as the world champions.
