The Digicel Fiji National Football Team has advanced three places to reach the 150th spot in the latest FIFA World Rankings. This improvement follows strong performances in the Tri-Nations series, where Fiji achieved a victory over the Solomon Islands and secured a draw against Hong Kong.
Under the guidance of Coach Rob Sherman, the team’s development is notable as they now stand as the third highest-ranked team in Oceania, trailing only New Zealand at 95th and the Solomon Islands at 144th.
In the region, Samoa has also made significant strides, jumping seven places to 185th after their wins against Tonga and American Samoa in FIFA World Cup qualifying matches.
On the international front, Argentina remains the top-ranked team, sustaining its position as the reigning world champions.
