The Digicel Fiji National Football Team has climbed three positions to reach 150th place in the most recent FIFA World Rankings. This improvement follows strong showings in the Tri-Nations series, where Fiji achieved a victory over the Solomon Islands and secured a draw with Hong Kong. Under the guidance of Coach Rob Sherman, the team has shown significant progress and is now the third highest-ranked team in Oceania, trailing only New Zealand in 95th place and the Solomon Islands in 144th.

In the regional context, Samoa has made notable gains as well, rising seven spots to 185th, thanks to their wins against Tonga and American Samoa in FIFA World Cup qualifiers. On the global front, Argentina remains at the top as the highest-ranked team, continuing its reign as the world champions.
