This improvement follows their strong performances in the Tri-Nations series, where Fiji achieved a victory over the Solomon Islands and secured a draw against Hong Kong. Under the guidance of Coach Rob Sherman, the team’s development is clear as they now sit as the third highest-ranked team in Oceania, trailing only New Zealand at 95th and the Solomon Islands at 144th. In the region, Samoa has also made notable strides, moving up seven spots to 185th after their successes against Tonga and American Samoa in FIFA World Cup qualifiers. On the international front, Argentina remains at the top as the leading team and the reigning world champions.
