The Digicel Fiji National Football Team has climbed three positions to rank 150th in the latest FIFA World Rankings. This improvement follows their strong performances in the Tri-Nations series, where Fiji achieved a victory over the Solomon Islands and secured a draw against Hong Kong.
Under Coach Rob Sherman’s guidance, the team’s advancement is notable as they now stand as the third highest-ranked team in Oceania, trailing only New Zealand at 95th and the Solomon Islands at 144th.
In the wider region, Samoa has also made significant strides, moving up seven spots to 185th after winning their matches against Tonga and American Samoa in FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
On the international front, Argentina remains at the top of the rankings, holding its position as the reigning world champions.
