Fiji Football Team Boosted by Key Returns Ahead of World Cup Qualifiers

Experienced defender Kavaia Rawaqa has been named in Fiji’s squad for the FIFA World Cup qualifiers. Rawaqa, who has not played for the national team recently, is stepping in to replace Mosese Nabose, who has withdrawn from the team due to personal commitments.

Additionally, Suva striker Merrill Nand and Ba forward Etonia Dogalau, who were not part of the previous selections, have also been included in the lineup. The team, coached by Rob Sherman, will kick off their campaign against the Solomon Islands on Thursday at 7 PM at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.

The Fiji squad includes: Isikeli Sevanaia, Akuila Mateisuva, Jerome Narayan, Ivan Kumar, Samuela Kautoga, Gabriel Matanisiga, Filipe Baravilala, Kavaia Rawaqa, Epeli Leiroti, Sterling Vasconcellos, Sitiveni Cavuilagi, Setareki Hughes, Leroy Jennings, Aporosa Yada, Tevita Waranaivalu, Merrill Nand, Dave Radrigai, Rahul Krishna, Sairusi Nalaubu, Roy Krishna, Thomas Dunn, Nabil Begg, and Etonia Dogalau.
