Rewa fan Rhythum Kumar traveled all the way from Waila, Nausori to the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva to cheer on the Ajay Trading-sponsored team during the final of the 2025 BiC Fiji FACT. Kumar shared his passion for the Delta Tigers, reminiscing about the electric atmosphere of his younger days spent watching the team play at Ratu Cakobau Park.
Kumar expressed the excitement he felt supporting Rewa through their various matches in the tournament, including their semi-final victory over Suva FC. Reflecting on the team’s performance, he said, “They slipped back in; that was nice. I would say that they played very well yesterday. The game was electrifying between Suva and Rewa, both Southern teams.” The camaraderie among fans, including the Labasa supporters dressed in a sea of red, contributed to a lively atmosphere that fans like Kumar appreciated.
Despite the support and anticipation, Rewa unfortunately fell to Labasa in the final, losing 1-3 through a penalty shootout. This match showcased the competitive spirit of Fijian football, which continues to unite communities, as seen in Kumar’s devotion and the backing of numerous supporters.
