The Fiji Football Association (Fiji FA) Awards Night is set to make a much-anticipated comeback after a three-year break, featuring 14 prestigious awards that celebrate excellence in the sport. This year’s event has gained an enthusiastic boost from its new sponsor, Extra Supermarket, which promises to enhance the awards night experience.
Fiji FA Chief Executive Mohammed Yusuf emphasized the significance of the gala, noting that it will unite the football community while recognizing the hard work of teams and individuals throughout the sport. Yusuf encouraged all 20 Fiji FA-affiliated clubs to participate by nominating members who have demonstrated commitment and passion for football. The awards will feature distinctions such as Footballer of the Year (Male and Female), Young Footballer of the Year (Male and Female), Futsal Player of the Year, Team of the Year, Administrator of the Year, Coach of the Year, Referee of the Year, Elite Player of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, and Employee of the Year.
Yusuf expressed enthusiasm about the introduction of these expanded categories, which aim to showcase a broader range of achievements and the essential functions played by all members of the football community.
