The Fiji Football Association has launched an important initiative by partnering with International Football Consultancy, led by Ali McLae and Russ Gurr. This partnership is focused on enhancing the national team’s chances in upcoming FIFA World Cup tournaments through the identification and recruitment of players of Fijian descent from around the globe.
Fiji FA Chief Executive Mohammed Yusuf expressed confidence in the initiative, stating, “We believe this initiative, alongside our well-established FFA national academies, will accelerate the development of top local talent while integrating new overseas players into our squads.”
McLae and Gurr, seasoned professionals with extensive international connections, will be instrumental in locating and recruiting these players. Yusuf added, “The combined efforts of local and international talent will create a more competitive and dynamic environment for Fijian football.”
