Former Suva FC president Ritesh Pratap has been elected as the Fiji Football Association’s new Vice President for the southern region, a significant event highlighted during the Fiji FA Congress held in Vatuwaqa, Suva. Pratap secured the position by obtaining 26 votes, defeating Jitendra Reddy, the incumbent Vice President, who received 20 votes, and Peter Cecil Singh from Rewa FA, who managed to gather just three votes.

In another competitive election, Mere Veikata emerged victorious in the Vice President for Women’s category, challenging Susan Wise, the current sitting vice president. Meanwhile, Rayaz Khan from the Labasa Football Association was elected unopposed as Vice President for the northern region, marking a noteworthy moment in Fiji football governance as the elections reflect a diverse slate of candidates stepping forward to lead.
