The Fiji Football Association (Fiji FA) is excited to announce the return of its prestigious Awards Night after a three-year pause, featuring a total of 14 awards celebrating excellence in football. This year’s event is set to be even more impressive, thanks to a new partnership with Extra Supermarket, which is aimed at enhancing the overall experience.

Fiji FA Chief Executive, Mohammed Yusuf, emphasized the significance of this gala evening, which aims to bring together the football community and recognize the hard work of players, coaches, teams, officials, and volunteers throughout Fiji’s football landscape. He urged all 20 affiliated clubs to submit nominations for those who have truly excelled in their roles, calling on them to help their stars shine at the event.

In an effort to broaden the scope of recognition, new categories have been introduced this year. These awards will include titles such as Male and Female Footballer of the Year, Young Male and Female Footballer of the Year, as well as distinctions for Futsal Player of the Year, Team of the Year, and many others. The expansion of category offerings aims to celebrate a diverse range of contributions within both football and futsal, acknowledging the pivotal roles played by various stakeholders in the sport’s development across the nation.

The Extra Supermarket Fiji FA Awards Night 2024 is scheduled for December 1 at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Nadi, promising an unforgettable evening dedicated to honoring the achievements and commitment of individuals involved in the game.

This return of the Awards Night not only signifies a revival of honoring excellence in Fiji’s football scene but also highlights the growing recognition of the diverse contributions that drive the sport forward. Fans and participants alike can look forward to a celebratory event that acknowledges the hard work, dedication, and passion that fuels football in Fiji.
