Fiji Flying Fijians Set for Electric Semi-Final Clash Against USA!

The FIJI Water Flying Fijians are preparing for an exhilarating semi-final match against the USA in the Asahi Super Dry Pacific Nations Cup this Saturday. The game is set to kick off at 10:05 PM Fiji time at the Chichibu Memorial Stadium in Tokyo, Japan.

The Flying Fijians, who finished at the top of Pool A, will take on the USA, who secured the runner-up position in Pool B. Japan, the leader of Pool B, will face Samoa in the other semi-final on September 15 at 6:05 PM, also at the same stadium.

The team recently returned to Nadi after a strong victory against Tonga. While there are no major injury concerns reported within the squad, they will miss center Adrea Cocagi, who is sidelined for the next four games due to a red card issued during the Tonga match.

Coach Mick Byrne expressed his optimism about the team’s capabilities, stating after the match in Nuku’alofa, “I don’t know whether there’s a ceiling (referring to growth) in this squad as they’re a very talented team.”

In another matchup, Tonga and Canada will compete for fifth place on September 14 at 7 PM at the same venue.
