The FIJI Water Flying Fijians are intensifying their preparations for the semi-final match against the USA in the Asahi Super Dry Pacific Nations Cup. Having topped Pool A, the Flying Fijians will now face the USA, who finished as the runners-up in Pool B.

After their convincing victory over Tonga, the team has regrouped in Nadi and resumed training with a clear focus on the upcoming challenge. Although the squad has reported no major injuries, they will be without center Adrea Cocagi, who is serving a four-game suspension due to a red card issued during the match against Tonga.

Coach Mick Byrne expressed confidence in the team’s talent, stating, “I don’t know whether there’s a ceiling in this squad as they’re a very talented team.”

The semi-final match is scheduled for 10:05 PM Fiji time this Saturday at Chichibu Memorial Stadium in Tokyo, Japan. In the other semi-final, Japan, the leaders of Pool B, will compete against Samoa on Sunday, September 15th, at 6:05 PM Fiji time, also at the same venue.
