The Fiji Water Flying Fijians are determined to address disciplinary issues as they prepare to take on Wales in their second Test match of the Autumn International series. Isaiah Armstrong-Ravula highlighted that the team has been focusing on improving their discipline after facing penalties, including two yellow cards, in their previous match against Scotland.
Armstrong-Ravula stated, “We’ve been putting ourselves in various scenarios. I don’t think anyone would be going out there to do that so it’s pretty unlikely but we’re just training hard.” The players are looking forward to the match, treating it as just another opportunity to showcase their skills.
Both teams come into this match with a challenging history, having last faced each other during the Rugby World Cup in England, where Fiji narrowly lost 26-32 to Wales. Armstrong-Ravula remains optimistic despite the previous defeat, noting the fresh dynamics of the current team, which has a new coach and an evolving environment. “That (the loss) was last year, and now we’ve got a new team, a new environment and a new coach so we’re just looking forward to Monday and (to) train harder,” he said.
The match will take place at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, Wales at 1:40 AM.
This upcoming game poses a promising chance for the Flying Fijians to demonstrate their growth as a team and potentially turn past misfortunes into triumph. With a focus on discipline and teamwork, fans can be hopeful of a competitive and spirited performance on the field.
