The National Weather Forecasting Center in Nadi has issued a flood warning for the Serua coastal areas extending to Suva and Nausori. This alert was announced at 8 PM tonight, emphasizing the potential risks to local residents.

A flash flood alert remains in effect for all of Fiji as a trough of low pressure brings increased cloud coverage and rain to the islands. In the past six hours, rainfall has been recorded between 10mm to 30mm across various locations, raising concerns about possible flooding.

Residents are urged to be cautious as there is a heightened risk of flooding in drains, small streams, low water bridges, road crossings, and properties situated in low-lying areas. Authorities recommend staying updated on weather conditions and taking necessary precautions to ensure safety during this weather event.
